A unique comedian with character (and characters)
While performing in the comedy clubs in New York City, God touched Phil's life which caused him to re-evaluate his career, life and material.

“I had a great loss in my life and decided to step back and take a look at my life and where it was going. I picked up a Bible and started to read. I read about a man who gave his all for us. So I decide to follow that man, Jesus Christ and try to do the same. Thus began a divided career. It started out as half secular and half Christian. Needless to say the latter has become the dominant part of my life. The difference between performing at a comedy club/corporate event and a Church or Christian event, is that in secular venues you are focused on material and making people laugh. In church you can do that too, but I also can take the time to share a scripture, word of encouragement or a testimony about what The Lord has done. It is also a great opportunity to introduce people to a Church and a Jesus that may be quite different than the one they grew up with. Since I started performing in church over a decade ago, I somehow picked up the label “Christian Comedian”. I don’t know what that means but I guess since I am a Christian, and I am a totally Clean Comedian,  and my profession is a comedian, I guess that fits. Although I have never heard the term Christian accountant, Christian Lawyer or Christian Waitress, I am proud to wear that label.
Now I know that comedians have the bad reputation of belittling people, taking cheap shots and searching out lone victims in the crowd. My goal is to encourage, bless and, give them what Prov.17:22 says, a cheerful heart is good medicine. 1 Peter 4:10 says that each person should use whatever gift they have received, to serve others. So this is my gift to you.”

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Phil DiTommaso was born to be a comedian. Even in the maternity ward, he had all the babies laughing. They were a great crowd!
Over the past 20 years; Phil has traveled all over the country to various Clubs, corporate events and churches and has even performed a wedding ceremony.
Phil’s act covers everything from marriage to parenting and all the stereotypes you may have about Italian’s and the Mafia. Growing up surrounded by people who always “Knew a guy”, he feels that we, as Christians, are the ones who really “Know a Guy!” Remember…it’s” God the Father, NOT the godfather that made you an offer you can’t refuse.” That offer is Jesus Christ.

Over the past 20 years:

In secular circles:
Phil has won the New York city Cable A.C.E Award for Comedy Single, has traveled all over the country to various Clubs such as: The Improv in New York, Florida and L.A.
Caroline’s in New York City
The Gotham comedy club in New York.
Bonkerz comedy club in Orlando,
Headlining at Stand-up New York's Clean Comedy Night
Performing his one man show off-Broadway in New York
He has also performed at The Lamb’s Theatre in Manhattan and
The Producers club off-Broadway.
Co-hosting Orlando’s WTLN morning radio show and doing many other various radio and television spots.

In Church circles:
Phil has also performed at many churches across the country such as Assemblies of God, First Baptist, Nazarene, Methodist and Catholic as we DO NOT discriminate against denominations.
Phil has also performed at The National Outreach convention in San Diego
The convention for The National Religious Broadcasters Association in Dallas, Texas.
He has also ministered in prisons, weddings (not the same thing!) and has been asked on several times to deliver a Sunday sermon and believe it or not, to perform a wedding ceremony.
Phil is currently:

  • Producing “Kingdom Comedy” nights in Orlando, FL.

  • Teaching Comedy/Acting in Florida.

  • Continuing to fly across these great United States wondering why we have to put our seats in the upright position?

  • Blessed and living in Florida with his wonderful family

Phil also has a “Live” televised performance available on DVD and is available to come to your event in person and make it a night to remember. Just go to the booking page and contact us with details.

Phil DiTommaso was VERY funny. I laughed almost from the time he took the stage until he stepped down. He effortlessly wove in his testimony and gave the audience so many other rich nuggets of truth to take away. It seemed seamless, like listening to someone giving a very funny talk about his walk
with God.
